Recently leading music label Saregama India launched an internet radio streaming service on its web portal. Saregama India’s radio streaming service will offer users a wide range of genres from its catalogue which includes Malayalam, Punjabi folk music, instrumental tracks, Marathi, Carnatic, Hindustani classical, Bengali Rabindra Sangeet and film hits, Tamil film, Telugu and devotional tracks and Hindi film classics.
The artistes featured include Lata Mangeshkar, SD Burman, Mohd Rafi, Anand Bakshi, Mukesh, Majrooh Sultanpuri, Sahir Ludhianvi, RD Burman, Shankar Jaikishan, Kishore Kumar, Kalyanji Anandji, Manna Dey, Bappi Lahiri, Asha Bhosle, Rabindranath Tagore, Bhupen Hazarika, S P Balasubramanyam, K J Yesudas and more.
Currently the service claims to be an ad free space and follows a free subscription based model for users. Listeners also have the option of buying the songs which are being played.
