Soccer fans in India can now enjoy the UEFA Euro 2012 on their mobile devices, even while on the move. Bharti Airtel has bagged exclusive mobile and video content rights for the European Football Championship - UEFA Euro 2012- from June 8 to July 1.
More than 180 million Airtel mobile consumers across India will now have exclusive access to mobile and video content of all the action at UEFA Euro 2012. This will include live streaming of matches from the tournament where Europe’s top 16 soccer teams including Germany, England and Portugal will fight for the winner’s title in 19 power packed matches that will span across 21 days.
To watch a live match, users have to send a text message to Airtel and pay Rs 40 a week for 80 minutes on 2G network and 40 minutes on 3G network. Apart from this, they can receive SMS updates on scores, goals, match analysis or subscribe to get two video messages a day along with six text messages on latest match updates for Rs 3 per match day. They can download football games at Rs.99 per game or subscribe to MoFutbol- the country’s first ever mobile magazine on football. Through MoFutbol users can get high-resolution photo and video stories on the tournament.
