InfoEdge India Limited, the parent company of naukri.com, has acquired MakeSense Technologies for a sum of INR 80 million. Founded in 2009, MakeSense Technologies has developed an advanced semantic search technology for the recruitment space, using the power of natural language processing and text analytics.
Commenting on the acquisition, InfoEdge CEO Hitesh Oberoi said,”The acquisition will significantly benefit InfoEdge and specially Naukri as the technological expertise and experience of the MakeSense team will help us introduce new features for our recruitment business.” He further added that the team of MakeSense will join InfoEdge as a part of the acquisition.
