BigRock Launches Cash on Delivery Facility For Customers In India

bigrockDomain name registrar and web hosting company BigRock has launched a new payment facility – Cash on Delivery (CoD) for its customers in India. This will enable BigRock customers to book domain names and web hosting products online. At this point, they can pay cash at their doorstep and the products will be activated within minutes. The service is expected to go live shortly and makes BigRock the first domain registrar globally to introduce this facility.

To facilitate this service in India, BigRock has partnered with Gharpay, an organized doorstep payment network. Currently the service is available for BigRock customers across 15 cities including Top-Tier Metros and Tier II cities. It is currently offered to customers in Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur, Vishakhapatnam, Navi Mumbai and Thane. The service will be extended to other cities in the near future.

Commenting on the launch, Bhavin Turakhia, Founder, BigRock, said “Given the low penetration of electronic payment methods in India, the Cash on Delivery facility provides BigRock customers yet another option in addition to existing modes of payments like credit/debit cards, net banking, and cheque payments. We have observed that even savvy online customers often prefer to pay cash on delivery for the products they purchase. We are delighted to be the first domain registrar to roll out this service and are confident that it will help us serve our customers better.”

Currently BigRock claims to have over 150,000 customers ranging from the smallest start-ups to some of the largest enterprises in the country. Around 65% of BigRock’s customers come from cities other than the top eight metros.
