Orange and Gameloft have signed a global partnership to promote usage of mobile games in Africa and Middle East. These game offers have already been successfully launched in Jordan, Ivory Coast, Mauritius, Madagascar under the Orange brand and in Egypt under the Mobinil brand.
The new mobile games offer from Orange and Gameloft will make use of Gameloft’s most popular titles such as Asphalt 6 : Adrenaline; Assassin’s Creed : Revelations; Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2; The Avengers; and more.Through this partnership, Orange and Gameloft will make more than 300 games available through a dedicated section of the Orange mobile portal.
Since January 2012 a selection of three Gameloft mobile games have been pre-installed on low-priced smartphones. Due to their easy access on the home screen of the device, these games were available through the “Try and Buy” mode which allows users to test the game before buying it in a few clicks.
Orange is represented in 22 countries in Africa and Middle East. It is also an official sponsor of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), and is supporting its commitment to African football through the Gameloft partnership by pre-installing Gameloft Real Football 2012 on mobile phones for customers. Through its partnership with Gameloft, Orange aims to contribute to the democratization of mobile multimedia usage in Africa and the Middle East.
