Alibaba launches Pinterest Clone, betting big on Social Commerce

Shopping addicts are in for a treat as the merger of Social Networking and eCommerce has created a new space called Social Shopping ,which has hooked millions of users in the United States.

China’s world’s biggest eCommerce platform has now launched social shopping platform Fa Xian (, which was launched on a testing basis four weeks ago, is already luring 60,000 viewers a day.Social commerce in country’s like China and India has the biggest potential.

Social shopping websites allow users to post photos of items on virtual pin boards, which others can comment on. Some sites allow users to purchase some of the items by clicking on the photos.
