On Tuesday, the mobile gaming gurus at Rovio Entertainment have officially launched Angry Birds on Facebook (Link to the Game on Facebook).
The new game will feature the Angry Birds gameplay we all know, but with “added social and competitive elements, brand new power-ups, and Facebook-exclusive levels.”
“This launch is just the beginning for Angry Birds on Facebook,” said Petri Järvilehto, SVP of Game Publishing at Rovio. “We have great new features and gameplay lined up for the fans in the upcoming weeks. Angry Birds on Facebook will offer a unique experience for our fans, and we’re really excited to finally be on the platform.”
As you might expect – and hope – with the brand-new social features for Angry Birds on Facebook, fans can compete with their friends, brag about their scores, and earn gold, silver, and bronze crowns for the top three scores in any level.
Rovio says fans can also give their Facebook friends “mystery gifts” of power-ups.
